Untuk pertama kalinya, Record Store Day akan digelar di Tangerang

Tangerang menyusul kota lain seperti Solo dan juga Denpasar, Bali yang belakangan menggelar acara Record Store Day 2018-nya.

Acaranya akan berlangsung gratis hari Sabtu ini di The Flavor Bliss, Jl. Alam Sutera Boulevard, Tangerang mulai pukul 12 siang sampai 10 malam.

Selain bisa berburu rilisan fisik incaran, ada juga penampilan musik yang meramaikan acara yang disebut pertama kalinya digelar di Tangerang.

Record Store Day Tangerang dipersembahkan oleh Serikat Tengger Raya, komunitas dan pergerakan musik lokal di sana.

Who we are? SETARA (Serikat Tengger Raya) is an art community movement from various background based in Tangerang, such as record labels, digital agencies, record stores, booking teams, music aggregator, webzine, bands and independent scenesters. Meanwhile, the name Tengger refers to Tangerang historical name which means ‘Batas’ in bahasa. • Why do we exist? The independent music scene in Tangerang is underexposed and ruled out from the existence of independent movements. However, the scene itself has a lot of potentials to be explored. We intend to create this event to educate the local scene and enhance its capabilities of making creative movements in the future. We also collaborate with a lot of creative mediums to make social investments and positive impacts. • What we do? Previously, we held Cassette Store Day Tangerang 2017. In near future, we initiated Records Store Day Tangerang 2018. This will be the first Records Store Day in Tangerang that we expect to sow the seeds of collectivity.This event will be the catalyst for a series of reflective collaborations with local independent artists. The initiative creates this platform for physical-based releases, to educate the values and the importance of physical music format to make it more appreciated by people. • How do we work? First, creating collaborative platform. We aren’t making an event like an event organizer. We are a collaborative platform that consistently seeks state-of-the-art concepts for the industry. Because of we realized that there are plenty of underexposed independent local artists, we engage both eminent and unknown artists to participate in one creative platform.
