Drugs at the Airport Again: smuggling operation foiled at Bali’s Ngurah Rai

Some smugglers who thought they were being pretty crafty sending drugs through cargo had their plans foiled this morning at Ngurah Rai Airport. 

Customs and Excise officers discovered three smuggling attempts of methamphetamine drugs being sent through a courier service, according to a breaking news report by Tribun Bali. The drug packets were shipped from China and the U.S., all sent through the same services of PT JAS Cargo, said Budi Raharjo, head of customs and excise at Ngurah Rai.

At least the smugglers were smarter than this German guy who got caught with $65k worth of cocaine in his underwear and stomach–now there was someone fully committed to his smuggling cause.
