Get Your Goat: prices skyrocket before Eid

In the market, as demand rises, so does price. Goats are no exception. 

Prices of goats are shooting up with Eid al-Adha coming up on Sunday, the sacrifice holiday in Islam. Muslims families usually sacrifice sheep, camels or goats—the latter being the most popular in Bali. 

Increases in price have reached as much as 35 percent. Goats usually run about Rp 1.3 million to Rp 3.3 million, but Tribun Bali quoted a goat trader in Sanur saying that the price rose Rp 200K per tail.
