Eight passengers have survived, 17 are deceased and the remaining 24 are unaccounted for from the Jabal Nur ship that was reported missing on Monday night. The boat sank in the Bali Strait on Tuesday, reports ANTARA news agency.

The National Disaster Mitigation Board (BNPB) sent a helicopter to rescue victims, said BNPB chairman Sutopo Purwo in a written statement.
