German caught with $65K of cocaine in underwear and stomach

In Indonesia where the drug trafficking penalties are obscenely harsh, being caught carrying drugs is the last thing you want to get charged with. German Hans Peter Naumann who was recently apprehended for smuggling cocaine into Bali could face death if convicted. 

Naumann, 48, allegedly attempted to smuggle 8.4 ounces of cocaine last Friday reported the Associated Press. He was arrested once he landed in Bali from a flight in Bangkok. Officers believed Naumann was hiding something in his stomach and proceeded to search and x-ray him. 

Once searched, 11 capsules were produced from Naumann’s underwear and six more were discovered in his stomach. 

The German’s investigation is ongoing and he has yet to be charged.
